This is more than an About page. It is where the name begins.
The original idea was simple: to create water wells and turn intention into practical help. Over time, that purpose gave rise to the Nelsane Wellspring name and to an identity rooted in care, creativity and presence.
Music and the store came later as expressions of that language. The store is a small project developed with care, without rush or mass production: selected pieces, understated presence and a language of its own.

What is Wellspring?
Wellspring means “spring”. For us, it is an image of origin: water as the first gesture, social purpose as the foundation, and music and the store as expressions of the same brand.
The story behind the name
Nelsane Wellspring brings together Nelson and Saoussane. The name unites two personal stories around a larger idea: turning hardship into hope through work, transparency and purpose.
The origin of the name
Since childhood, Nelson wanted to build something meaningful, perhaps even a hospital able to support people through difficult moments. Life brought poverty, profound obstacles and loss, but it also taught resilience, faith and the will to do good even when resources are scarce.
Later, Saoussane became part of this story with generosity and an inspiring spirit. One gesture deeply marked the journey: her decision to offer a well in tribute to both her parents, her mother and her father. That gesture turned a personal intention into a broader mission.
The mission
During a trip to Kenya, we saw communities for whom clean water remains a daily necessity. That reality shaped a simple conviction: with dedication, well-used resources and serious oversight, it is possible to help improve health, dignity and hope for those who need it most.
The NSWL project
From that conviction came the idea for the NSWL token: to explore a more transparent way to organize support, data, funds and actions. The project remains a long-term humanitarian vision, built with care and intention.
This store is part of the official Nelsane Wellspring network. The social project, music and clothing exist in separate spaces, but belong to the same story and the same brand.
